the lock down litanies are six tracks using only material sent in through the lockdownlessen.nl project: beats made by children with pots and pans (or a computer, even an actual drum kit), home-bound dancers’ daily lives, friends who sang or played instruments, a little boy destroying his little drum kit, and much more. (details on lockdownlessen.nl/homepage/robbert/ , more details available on request.) all sampled and processed and arranged into stories of the strange spring of 2020.

the seventh track, onveilig, was made using daily sounds from my own studio during the lock down including dripping water, a mechanic siren, a blown conch shell, cutlery… The track was made as a sound track for diana bachour’s short film onveilig, that may at some point be viewable on the interweb somewhere.

this collection concludes my elephant songs project, in which i combined music brought in by others into coherent, sometimes improvised pieces. part of that project was an overland trip from india to the low lands, on an old motorcycle loaded with drums. en route, i found musicians to play with; audio, video, and writings can be found on nocount.org/bands-etc/musical-journeys/

all tracks are downloadable separately for free.
